KUSHIDA Rolls On, Wins Inaugural Pro Wrestling World Cup

It started in April of this year with 64 competitors from around the world, from North America (Canada, Mexico and the United States), the British Isles (England and Scotland), and beyond (Japan, Germany, South Africa and more). WCPW set up a massive international tournament, the inaugural Pro Wrestling World Cup, which ended today after five months of qualifiers and main tournament. The finals ended up pitting two international stars in their own right – who both compete for NJPW no less – as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA defeated former PROGRESS Champion and ROH TV Champion Will Ospreay to capture the first Pro Wrestling World Cup title and trophy.
