Another MMA Four Horsewoman Entering Pro Wrestling

It’s no secret that MMA’s Four Horsewomen – Ronda Rousey, Shayne Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir – have an immense love for professional wrestling. Rousey appeared at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and has long been linked to a WWE career when she leaves UFC, Baszler has already transitioned to pro wrestling (she’s currently the AIW Women’s Champion and DDT Pro Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion), and Shafir has been on NXT programming lately alongside her husband, NXT Superstar Roderick Strong.

This past week the fourth member of the quartet, Jessamyn Duke began training at the Santino Brothers wrestling school, at a seminar lead by NJPW’s Rocky Romero, as she’s apparently beginning her own transition to the world of professional wrestling. Santino Brothers has helped other MMA fighters transition to pro wrestling in the past, notably NXT Superstars Sonya Deville and Zeda. Duke has also had training under WWE Superstar Natalya, as far back as 2015, when Natalya was in California helping train Josh Barnett for pro wrestling, when she also did some training work the entire Four Horsewoman crew.

As reported last month, all four of MMA’s Four Horsewomen had an altercation with the NXT version of the same name during tapings for the upcoming Mae Young Classic, when Rousey, Duke and Shafir sat at ringside in support of Shayna Baszler during one of her matches, leading many to speculation that the entire faction could be WWE bound for some type of an angle.
