2. Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, and only time will tell how far the 2025 iteration of the squad will go in the playoffs. However, no matter what happens, this team has the resources to trade for Maxx Crosby. As of this posting, the Chargers are projected to be $103 million over the salary cap, and edge defender Khalil Mack isn’t getting any younger. The Chargers have a good roster when everyone is healthy, but Crosby could make this team elite, and his contract wouldn’t prevent Los Angeles from adding more talent the offensive line.
The only question is whether or not the Raiders would ever trade their star edge defender within the division. Chances are, the Chargers would need to dramatically overpay for Vegas to even consider an offer from an AFC West foe.
