1. San Francisco 49ers
The injury bug is feasting on the San Francisco 49ers, as first-round pick Mykel Williams was the latest defensive lineman to suffer a season-ending injury. While the rookie was struggling to adapt to life in the NFL, someone must step up and fill his spot in the lineup. Bryce Huff can’t do it all on his own, and Bradley Chubb might be the best trade target remaining.
The 49ers previously acquired Keion White from the New England Patriots, but that shouldn’t prevent them from making another move. White cost effectively nothing and the edge rusher failed to do much of anything during his time in New England. Chubb is a superior player with a longer track record and has a much better shot of making an impact for a team chasing the Lombardi Trophy.
