2. New England Patriots
While most people expected the 2025 Patriots to be better than the 2024 iteration of the club, nobody expected this type of improvement. Drake Maye is playing at an MVP level, Mike Vrabel is a Coach of the Year favorite, and the team is tied for the best record in football at 7-2. While their weak schedule certainly played a role in this success, you can’t deny their Super Bowl aspirations.
The biggest weakness on this team is the defensive line. Harold Landry and K’Lavon Chaisson are the primary starters, but both players would be better in lesser roles. Bradley Chubb might not be an ideal three-down starter anymore, but the trade target could rotate with these two to keep everyone fresh for what is hopefully a long postseason run.
