The New England Patriots have a great offense, and while Drake Maye wasn’t perfect against the elite Atlanta Falcons defense, he still had a decent day at the office. However, the quarterback is taking too many sacks, and the team must do something to eliminate the negative plays. Maye holds onto the ball too much, but that’s largely because the team doesn’t have anyone who can consistently beat man coverage, especially if Kayshon Boutte’s hamstring injury is serious.
A Jakobi Meyers trade could fix that. While the former undrafted free agent isn’t a big-play threat, he can be the effective chain-mover this team needs. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels knows how to use his skill set, so it shouldn’t take long for him to re-acclimate himself in New England.
