The race for the AFC North looked like it could be over before it ever began just a few weeks ago. However, Pittsburgh’s recent slump, combined with the return of Lamar Jackson, means this division race is far from over. Rodgers isn’t playing like his MVP self, but he’s the best quarterback Pittsburgh’s had since Ben Roethlisberger. However, he needs more help if he’s going to lead this team on its first deep playoff run in almost a decade.
D.K. Metcalf is a good wide receiver, but Rodgers needs someone else to step up. Seeing as the rest of the depth chart can’t get the job done, a Rashid Shaheed trade might be in order. Rodgers can still push the ball downfield, and Shaheed can track and separate far better than the recently signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
