Jakobi Meyers entered the league with the New England Patriots, so it’s only fitting he returns to the team at the trade deadline. The Patriots offense looks nearly unstoppable with Maye at the helm, and they just dropped 32 points on an elite Cleveland Browns defense. While this is one of the best passing attacks in football, they could use an upgrade at the wide receiver position.
Stefon Diggs is still a good player and Kayshon Boutte is making the Year 3 leap, but this team needs someone who can consistently beat man coverage. Maye’s struggled to find receivers when opposing defenses play man, often choosing to scramble instead of trying to force a tight pass. Meyers may have slowed down a bit, but he can still create separation at the top of routes and will make this passing game that much more dangerous.
