Dak Prescott is playing at an MVP level, but it hasn’t really mattered since the defense has been so terrible. Trading Micah Parsons has proven to be a terrible move, as the unit ranks at or near the bottom of every major statistic and is the biggest reason this team is 3-3-1 despite Prescott’s phenomenal play.
A Maxx Crosby trade won’t turn this unit into a top-five defense, but it would create a massive boost. With how well Prescott is playing, this team should make the playoffs if the defense can improve from horrible to just below-average. Seeing as they have plenty of picks from the Micah Parsons deal, they should be able to make a move without sacrificing the ability to add young talent in the draft.
