3. Xavier Legette, Panthers
The Carolina Panthers want Xavier Legette to be a big part of their offense, and he finally came through in Week 7’s win over the New York Jets. Catching passes from both Bryce Young and Andy Dalton, the former first-round pick finished his night with nine receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. Nobody should expect 24 fantasy points every week, but he could start living up to his draft capital.
Legette began the season averaging 7.5 targets per game before suffering an injury and missing two weeks of action. While he only saw 2.5 targets per game in his first two games back, it appears as though he’s once again a key part of this passing attack. Legette won’t put up Mike Evans numbers, but he has the draft capital and athletic profile to suggest he could be a legitimate weapon in fantasy football. The floor is admittedly low with him, but he has the highest ceiling of any player on this list.
