3. San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers sit atop the NFC West following a Sunday Night Football victory over the Atlanta Falcons, and they’ve done it all despite facing an absurd amount of injuries. Ricky Pearsall has battled injuries all year, Jauan Jennings is playing through broken ribs, and former first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk doesn’t seem to be close to a return.
Kyle Shanahan excels at scheming players open, but he could use more versatile players in his offense. Mac Jones and Jakobi Meyers had a strong chemistry during their time in New England, so a trade would make sense. While Brock Purdy is the starter when healthy, he’s struggled to stay on the field and Jones has proven to be a capable passer in this offense.
