3. Russell Wilson
Thursday Night Football’s matchup against the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles shows just how much head coach Brian Daboll does not want to see Russell Wilson play for his team. While Wilson stopped playing like a franchise quarterback years ago, he’s on a team-friendly deal and is still a top-32 quarterback in this league. Any team looking for a short-term starter could probably get him for a conditional late-round pick at the NFL trade deadline.
The only question is which team would want him? The Cincinnati Bengals made the most sense before the Joe Flacco trade, but the former Super Bowl MVP’s presence takes them out of the equation. Barring an injury to one of the league’s other starters, the only logical fit is the Las Vegas Raiders. Geno Smith has struggled throughout the season, and Wilson will provide more competition than Kenny Pickett.
