4. New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are in Year 1 of a massive rebuild, and they don’t have the resources to find proven talent to support potential franchise quarterback Spencer Rattler. What they do have, however, is players they can trade for draft picks. New Orleans will likely sell at the deadline, and they could send receivers Chris Olave and/or Rashid Shaheed to contenders for decent returns. However, this will leave the Saints with limited options in the passing game.
Treylon Burks is a fine low-risk signing to finish off the 2025 season for a Saints team that won’t sniff the playoffs. In a best-case scenario, he shows some signs of life and parlays that into a spot on the 2026 team. However, even if he doesn’t pay off, adding him shouldn’t make the team any worse.
