Davante Adams Injury

Davante Adams Injury Update: Star WR’s Status Revealed Ahead of Rams-Colts

Wide receiver Davante Adams spent the past week battling through a hamstring injury and only practiced late in the week. Officially designated as “questionable” on the injury report, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport recently provided some clarity for the 33-year-old as the Rams prepare to face off against the Indianapolis Colts.

In a recent tweet, the NFL insider said that Davante Adams is “set to play” despite his hamstring injury. While this is not an official designation by any stretch, it sounds like the six-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro will play, barring a last-second setback.

Davante Adams Injury Update: Rams WR Likely to Play

Through three games, Davante Adams has played a key role in the Los Angeles Rams passing attack. Starting in all three contests, the wide receiver has recorded 13 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 29 targets while helping the team earn a 2-1 record. While Puka Nacua is still the clear top option in the passing attack, Adams has played a key role through three weeks.

Los Angeles will need as much help as they can get to earn a Week 4 win against the Indianapolis Colts. Led by a resurgent Daniel Jones, the team enters Sunday’s contest with a pristine 3-0 record and scoring at least 29 points in every game of the season.

Davante Adams originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Selected by the Green Bay Packers, the Fresno State product started slow before breaking out with a 75-catch, 997-yard, and 12-touchdown season in 2016. He only improved from there, making six straight Pro Bowl rosters while earning First-Team All-Pro honors on three separate occasions. While he has slowed down a bit, he still recorded 85 receptions for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets last year.
