Chiefs Chris Jones Has Explitive-Laced Reaction to Eagles Tush Push

The Tush Push is one of the most controversial plays in the NFL, and Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has seen enough of it. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles ran the play on multiple occasions throughout their 20-17 win, and a miked-up Chris Jones was clearly sick of the play.

Chiefs Chris Jones Is Not A Fan of the Tush Push

For those unfamiliar, the Tush Push is essentially a souped-up quarterback sneak where the Eagles have players line up in the backfield and push quarterback Jalen Hurts while he and the offensive line move forward. While just about every team has tried some variation of copying this play, the Eagles are the only ones to consistently convert in short-yardage situations.

The Eagles first started using the Tush Push in 2022, and the rest of the league has yet to figure out how to stop it. Some organizations across the league believe the play leads to increased safety risk, and the Green Bay Packers introduced a proposal to ban the play during the March league meetings. Ultimately, the resolution failed and the play remains legal, although some say Philadelphia’s offensive line was getting away with uncalled false starts during the Week 2 matchup against Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Thanks in part to the Tush Push, the Chiefs now enter Week 3 with an 0-2 record and are facing an unofficial ‘must-win’ contest against the New York Giants. While the Giants are also 2-0, they’re coming off a game where Russell Wilson threw for over 400 yards and nearly pulled off the upset victory against the Dallas Cowboys.
