Week 2 Waiver Wire Additions – Old Wide Receivers and New Tricks

Waiver Wire Running Back Options

Kenneth Gainwell – Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back

As a result of Kaleb Johnson’s big mistake, Gainwell is the clear RB2 for the team. He played in over 40% of the plays on Sunday, and while he doesn’t have much standalone value, he can be a “break glass in case of emergency” option as bye weeks start up.

Gainwell is a handcuff with benefits until further notice.

Woody Marks – Houston Texans Running Back

Marks is following the normal progression for a day three running back. It’s normal to start the season slow, and he will continue to get more run as the season goes on. Joe Mixon might be toast, Nick Chubb isn’t inspiring confidence, and the rest of the running back room is a fantasy manager’s ghost of waiver wire options past.

Marks is a bench stash until he gets more playing time, but the early signs are there.
