Dynasty Rookie Wide Receiver Rankings and Analysis

With a month since the 2025 NFL Draft has passed, it is time to rank the rookie wide receivers from this year’s class for dynasty fantasy football leagues. Here are the top 15 dynasty rookie wide receivers with a complete analysis of each player.

Analysis and Rankings for Rookie Wide Receivers

1. Tetairoa McMillan

McMillan was the second wide receiver drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, behind two-way superstar Travis Hunter. However, McMillan ranks first in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings. He is the clear WR1 for quarterback Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers. Young and the offense improved as the year went on in 2024, and adding McMillan should push the Panthers to the next level. McMillan and Young will develop together for many years, putting McMillan as the top dynasty rookie wide receiver.

2. Travis Hunter

Hunter comes just below McMillan in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings. There are two reasons why Hunter was ranked second. The first is that he is not the WR1 on the team. Brian Thomas Jr. is the WR1 for quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Thomas Jr. had an electric rookie season and should continue that success in Jacksonville for a long time. The second reason is that there is no guarantee that Hunter will play a full complement of snaps on offense for his entire career.

The Jaguars are planning on using him on offense to start his career, but that could change in the future. If he performs better at cornerback than receiver, the Jaguars could decide to move him to defense full-time. Although there is a small chance of this happening, it is the deciding factor between why McMillan is ranked ahead of Hunter.

3. Matthew Golden

Golden comes in third in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings, as there is a large range of outcomes for Golden. The Green Bay Packers have a very crowded receiver room with Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson (who is expected to miss most of the season), and Dontayvion Wicks. In addition, they have two solid tight ends in Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave. However, none of these guys were a true WR1 for quarterback Jordan Love last year. This opens the door for Golden to win the spot, but he could also fall behind some of these other guys on the depth chart and have minimal production.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Matthew Golden

Wide receiver Matthew Golden holds a Green Bay Packers jersey after being selected with the 23rd pick during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The draft runs through April 26.

4. Jayden Higgins

Higgins was the first of two Iowa State Cyclone wide receivers drafted by the Houston Texans. Higgins will play opposite Nico Collins on the outside. The Texans desperately needed a second wide receiver. The offense and quarterback C.J. Stroud were at their best when both Collins and Stefon Diggs were healthy last season, but were not good when it was just Collins or neither. Collins and Higgins can develop into one of the best wide receiver duos with Stroud.

5. Tre Harris

As shown in the AFC Wild Card Game against the Texans in 2024, the Los Angeles Chargers needed an outside wide receiver to complement Ladd McConkey. Quentin Johnston has failed the Chargers too many times, and there are now rumors that they are looking to trade him. Enter Tre Harris to the team. He was drafted out of Ole Miss and will give quarterback Justin Herbert the outside threat that he needs. The Chargers offense will be run-first with Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton, but there will still be plenty of opportunities for both McConkey and Harris to be productive in fantasy.

6. Emeka Egbuka

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking Egbuka was one of the more surprising picks of the first round of the Draft. Many experts had them taking a defensive player, but they decided to add to a strong wide receiver room. Even though Chris Godwin is coming off a severe injury, the Bucs brought him back on a three-year deal. Mike Evans has shown no signs of slowing down, while Jalen McMillan showed good flashes in his rookie season. Tight end Cade Otton and both running backs, Bucky Irving and Rashaad White, are great pass-catching options. It might take three to five years before Egbuka has a significant role on the team, pushing his ranking outside the top five in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings.

7. Jack Bech

Bech goes to a revamped Las Vegas Raiders offense that added Pete Carroll as their new head coach, Geno Smith as the quarterback, and drafted running back Ashton Jeanty. He joins Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brock Bowers in the pass-catching room. Bech should slot in as the WR2 on the team with the potential to overtake Meyers as the WR1 throughout the year. Bech is one of the top sleeper picks from this year’s rookie class.

8. Luther Burden III

Burden III had a terrific 2023 college season before having a disappointing 2024 season. This caused him to fall to the second round of the NFL Draft, where the Chicago Bears finally took him in the early second round. The Bears are doing everything they can to build around their young quarterback, Caleb Williams. They hired Ben Johnson, the old Lions offensive coordinator, to be the head coach. They drafted Colston Loveland and Burden to add to DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Cole Kmet. Burden has a similar profile to Moore, making this an interesting selection for the Bears. Burden has the talent to succeed in the NFL, but will there be enough targets for him to be fantasy-productive early in his career?

9. Kyle Williams

Williams has been flying up rookie draft boards as the offseason moves on. The New England Patriots desperately needed help in the wide receiver room. They signed Stefon Diggs in the offseason and drafted Williams in the third round. Diggs is coming off a severe injury and has off-the-field concerns. Williams could be in line for a massive target opportunity as early as his rookie season in the NFL.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Kyle Williams

10. Pat Bryant

The Denver Broncos drafted Bryant in the third round of the Draft, and then head coach Sean Payton compared Bryant to Michael Thomas. Bryant immediately slots in as the WR2 for the Broncos behind Courtland Sutton, who will be a free agent after this season. Bryant has an opportunity to be the WR1 on the Broncos next season. Not many rookie wide receivers have that potential, which gives Bryant tremendous upside in dynasty and rounds out the top ten in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Pat Bryant

11. Jaylin Noel

Noel was the second Cyclone receiver drafted by the Texans. Noel is more of a slot player, but the Texans have decent competition for that role. They traded for Christian Kirk and still have Tank Dell for the future. Dell will probably miss the entire 2025 season, and Kirk struggled with injuries last year as well. For Noel to have a significant role in the offense, he will have to pass at least one of Kirk or Higgins in the depth chart.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Jaylin Noel

12. Tory Horton

Horton missed most of his super senior season with an injury, causing his draft stock to fall. He fell to the fifth round of the draft where the Seattle Seahawks took him. Seattle has a new-look wide receiver room after losing Tyler Lockett in free agency to the Tennessee Titans and trading DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They signed Cooper Kupp and drafted Horton to join Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Both Kupp and JSN have shown the most success when playing in the slot. Horton plays mostly outside, allowing him to play alongside Kupp and JSN and earn plenty of targets.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Tory Horton

13. Jalen Royals

Royals is the newest weapon for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. However, there is a lot of target competition in KC, with Rashee Rice returning from injury and Xavier Worthy showing great flashes last season. Additionally, Marquise Brown is back, and Travis Kelce is still one of the best tight ends in the league. Both Rice and Worthy will probably be Chiefs for a long time, limiting Royals’ target potential and upside.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Jalen Royals

14. Isaac TeSlaa

TeSlaa is one of the more interesting picks of the Draft, as the Detroit Lions selected him in the third round after trading two future third-round picks to move up to take TeSlaa. TeSlaa had very limited production in college, but he was the most athletic rookie wide receiver in this class. The Lions have a lot of target competition with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs, and David Montgomery. I don’t know where the targets will be for TeSlaa, but he is a player to keep an eye out for in dynasty due to the high belief the Lions have in him.

Full Dynasty Outlook for Isaac TeSlaa

15. Elic Ayomanor

Ayomanor was the second wide receiver drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, in addition to Chimere Dike. Most draft analysts had Ayomanor ranked ahead of Dike, so this was an interesting choice. Both will have their opportunities to be the WR2 for the number one overall pick, Cam Ward, behind Calvin Ridley. Ayomanor gets a slight advantage in the dynasty rookie wide receiver rankings as he came into the Draft as a better prospect.
