Caleb Williams had extremely high expectations going into his rookie year. Every first-overall pick has them, but they’re even higher for quarterbacks. Williams got better as the season progressed even with some growing pains, but let’s take a look at his dynasty outlook.
Caleb Williams: Bears Quarterback Dynasty Outlook
Current Performance
Williams finished the 2024 season with 3,541 yards, a 62.5% completion percentage, 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions. His touchdown-to-intcereption ratio of 3.3:1 is a huge boost to his confidence.Even with the Chicago Bears struggling in 2024, it showed his ability to take care of the football.
However, Williams did take 68 sacks over 17 games, an average of four per game and lost five fumbles as a runner. While some of that is attributed to the atrocious offensive line, he did hold onto the ball too long in some instances. This is one of the aforementioned growing pains.
In fantasy, Williams finished with a total of 249.6 fantasy points. With total points, he finished as the QB15. His average of 15.6 fantasy points per game saw him drop to QB19. He had weeks where he finished with as many as 29 fantasy points and weeks where he had as little as seven fantasy points. Consistency was his biggest issue in 2024, but the Bears won’t be getting any worse.
Caleb Williams Dynasty Price
KeepTradeCut lists Williams as the QB10 for dynasty leagues in 2025 and the 22nd player overall. His promising rookie season, combined with elite talents at wide receiver like Rome Odunze, show that he has a lot of upside. He is listed ahead of players like Jordan Love, Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield.
Fantasycalc provides a list of all trades involving Williams — and the price is STEEP. One of the most-recent deals saw him dealt for Xavier Worthy, a 2025 first rounder and a 2025 second rounder. Another one saw him traded for a package of Cooper Kupp and Jordan Love while a different trade was Williams for Justin Herbert in a quarterback swap.
Ben Johnson taking over as the Bears head coach only made his price rise even more. If you want him, be prepared to give up a lot.
Caleb Williams’ 2025 Projections
Williams will be given a lot more freedom with Johnson as his head coach. After throwing for over 3,500 yards as a rookie, it’s expected his yardage in 2025 will exceed 4,000. It’s likely that both his touchdown total increases along with his interception numbers. However, that shouldn’t be an issue as long as the ratio of touchdowns to interceptions stays relatively the same.
He showed he has the foundation to be top quarterback in the NFL, and it shows the Bears made the right decision with moving on from Justin Fields. Now, Williams needs to avoid a sophomore slump and continue to develop his connection with Odunze and D.J. Moore.
What to do With Caleb Williams in Dynasty Leagues
This one couldn’t be any more straight forward: keep! There isn’t a single quarterback in the 2025 draft class who will perform at the level Williams did in 2024. Unless a trade will immediately take you from pretender to contender with multiple pieces, you’ll only hurt yourself in the long run by trading him.
If everything goes right for Williams and the Bears, he could be finish the 2025 fantasy season among the top five quarterbacks next to names like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
