Tory Horton: Seahawks Sleeper Rookie Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook

Tory Horton was drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Horton joins a new-look Seattle offense. How does he fit into the offense, and what is Tory Horton’s dynasty outlook?

Dynasty Outlook for Tory Horton

Current Production

Horton spent five years in college, with two years at Nevada before transferring to Colorado State to finish his final three years. His two best seasons were in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, he had 71 receptions for 1131 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. In 2023, he had 96 receptions for 1136 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He only played in six games in his senior season in 2024 before he had season-ending knee surgery. In those six games, he had 26 receptions for 353 receiving yards and one touchdown. That injury could have hurt his draft stock.

Horton Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Horton is the WR88. He was the WR175 before the Draft. Horton is ranked behind Amari Cooper, Ja’Lynn Polk, and Elijah Moore, while ahead of Jordan Whittington, Kayshon Boutte, and Andrei Iosivas. Horton is being undrafted in three-round rookie dynasty drafts.

The Seahawks had some big changes to their offense in the 2025 offseason. First, they traded quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders. They signed Sam Darnold to replace him, while drafting Jalen Milroe to backup alongside Drew Lock. All three quarterbacks are brand new to the team. Darnold was solid in his time with Minnesota last season and proved that he could be a good enough quarterback to run a successful offense.

Second, they traded star wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Longtime veteran Tyler Lockett was a free agent and signed with the Tennessee Titans. The Seahawks went out and signed Cooper Kupp to a three-year, $45 million contract. Kupp will be 32 years old next year. They also signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling and drafted Ricky White III out of UNLV.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp will be the top two wide receivers on the team, but the WR3 spot is wide open for any of these other guys to win out. JSN and Kupp both play a lot of snaps in the slot, meaning they also need an outside threat. This is where Horton can make his move. Horton can be the outside player who they need to play alongside JSN and Kupp. Kupp is also on the downturn of his career, meaning Horton could become the WR2 on the team in a few years. Horton will have the opportunity to earn a starting job and build on the role as the years go on.

Should You Draft/Pick Up Tory Horton in Dynasty Leagues?

Unless your dynasty rookie draft is four or more rounds, Horton is being undrafted at the moment. Therefore, Horton is one of the top undrafted rookie selections to add on waivers. Out of all the undrafted receivers, Horton probably has the highest upside of any of them. In one of my leagues, he went for $21 FAAB (out of a $100 budget). If you are willing to spend your FAAB budget on rookies, Horton should be one of your top targets, if not the number one target to pick. Tory Horton has a very bright dynasty outlook with potential to earn targets in Year 1, before playing a more important role on the team as the years go on.
