Closing Statement: Justin Fields Proving His Case As The Franchise QB

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields’ closing statement in what might be his last home game against the Atlanta Falcons has made General Manager Ryan Poles’ decision extremely difficult this offseason. It’s time for Poles to consider keeping Fields.

Justin Fields’ Closing Statement: “I’m H1M!”

Winter Wizardry: Closing Statement In The Snow

Although the Bears’ chances of making the playoffs are essentially over, Fields still had a lot to play for in the Bears’ last home game against the Falcons. Fields threw for 268 yards with one touchdown on the ground, one on the run, and no turnovers. His first throw of the game was a beauty right in the breadbasket of Wide Receiver D.J. Moore. Fields continued this impressive display with two more precise passes to Moore during the first quarter, including a touchdown in the corner of the endzone. Moore has been a stud and has helped Fields showcase his talent throughout the year.

While Fields showcased his arm talent, the offensive line began to break down later in the game. Just as it seemed Fields was on the verge of a sack, he demonstrated his remarkable agility and skill. When it comes to avoiding situations, Fields is one of one, showcasing a unique ability to escape imminent sacks. This wasn’t a one-time occurrence in the game; he skillfully evaded defenders on two separate occasions where getting sacked seemed unavoidable.

“We Want Justin Fields” Chants Erupt At Soldier Field

Towards the end of the game, “we want Justin Fields” chants emitted throughout the stadium. Despite the criticism and chatter surrounding Fields, he deserved the unwavering support from the city of Chicago. Safety Jaquan Brisker said, “I want Justin. We all want Justin. Let’s go!” Moore added, “I did hear those chants. And I know (the front office’s) box is right there.”  So no matter what happens this offseason, whether Poles decides to trade or keep Fields, there is no denying this: Justin Fields has given his all for the city and the team every week.

Chicago Bears Secure First Overall Pick In The 2024 NFL Draft

Congratulations, Bears fans! The 2024 NFL draft runs through Chicago. Thanks to another loss by the Carolina Panthers, the Chicago Bears secure the first overall pick in the upcoming draft via Carolina. General Manager Ryan Poles faces a unique dilemma: he can once again trade back, accumulating a substantial haul to fortify the team around Fields or opt to draft Caleb Williams, widely regarded as a generational talent. Drafting Williams becomes more logical if no compelling trade offers materialize. However, with the kind of haul the Bears received last year for trading the first overall pick, it’s hard to pass on that. Here’s a reminder of what the Bears received from trading last year’s first overall pick.

  • WR D.J. Moore (92 rec, 1300 yards, 8 TD)
  • OT Darnell Wright (starter)
  • CB Tyrique Stevenson (starter)
  • 2024 fourth-round pick
  • 2025 second-round pick
  • First overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

With Fields’ closing statement in what might be his last home game for the Bears, the possibility of watching Fields play in another uniform will be hard. No matter what happens, let’s hope both the Bears and Fields thrive and succeed.
