Early Dynasty Buy Low Sell High Options 2024

Buy Low

Michael Wilson, WR Arizona Cardinals

Before his injury damaged second half of the season, Wilson was the lead receiver in Arizona. On a snap-by-snap basis, he was taking the majority of plays and routes run. Hollywood Brown is a free agent, and everyone is worried about them adding another weapon in the draft. If they do, he’s still the number two option. If they don’t it signals the staff has a clear investment in the player long term. Recommended opening offer: 2025 3rd and 4th.

Wan’Dale Robinson, WR New York Giants

Another year removed from an ACL tear and improved (hopefully) QB play, Robinson could be in for a huge 2024. The former Kentucky receiver is an exceptional separator when healthy, and is a cheap dynasty stash if the current manager is impatient. Recommended opening offer: Early 2024 3rd.

Javonte Williams, RB Denver Broncos

The year after the year after an injury is a fun buy window. Most managers are disappointed with the player’s performance following their injury so they might sell them cheaper than expected. He was one of PFF’s most elusive running backs before the injury, and there are not many 2024 running back prospects that can steal work from him. Recommended opening offer: Mid 2024 2nd.

Sell High

Keaton Mitchell, RB Baltimore Ravens

Look, everyone loves him and he’s a super fun player. But undrafted free agents returning from ACL tears aren’t exactly world-beaters. But somehow he is still the RB26 on KeepTradeCut and more valuable than second-round picks, Derrick Henry and Chuba Hubbard. Recommended opening offer: Mid 2024 2nd.

Cooper Kupp, WR Los Angeles Rams

This has less to do with Kupp next year than it does with the players valued under him. Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, and other aging veterans are under him in value but are similar to or outscoring him in PPG. He’s still being propped up by his triple crown season, but Puka Nacua is eating his lunch these days. Recommended opening offer: Mid-2024 1st, or another veteran receiver with a pick on top.

Patrick Mahomes, QB Kansas City Chiefs

Take the name out of it. Mahomes has been the QB7, QB1, QB4, QB4, QB7 the last five years. In PPG he’s often been even worse and isn’t worth where he’s priced right now. Is he a great quarterback in real life? Yes. Is he a great quarterback for fantasy? Also yes. The issue is that he’s considered an untouchable dynasty asset, while comparable players like Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson need another pick added on top to get to a quarterback they are currently, and have consistently outscored. Recommended opening offer: Another top eight quarterback with a first-round pick on top.
