Uncovering the Best DFS Bargains for the New York Jets at Cleveland Browns on DraftKings

The New York Jets and Cleveland Browns are going in opposite directions Let's look at DFS bargains for their TNF matchup.

You’re going to need some DraftKings DFS action to keep this one interesting. The Jets season has been a rollercoaster ride if you’ve ever been on a rollercoaster that began with a disaster. Then rolled through one mistake through a series of other mistakes. And then ended in disaster. Their first two quarterbacks were out injured and while Trevor Siemian did bag the win against the Commanders it was close.

The Browns defense is a different prospect to the Commanders outfit too. The Commanders are ranked 32nd for the number of passing touchdowns they have conceded. The 1,840 rushing yards they have allowed sees them ranked 22nd in the league. The Browns on the other hand are ranked 1st in the league for the number of passing yards they have allowed this year and they’re 10th for rushing yards. So, this is going to be an uphill battle for Gang Green. Both these teams have been decimated by injuries too, even though both kickers are recovering from muscle strains!

Uncovering the Best DFS Bargains for the New York Jets at Cleveland Browns on DraftKings

The Trending Upward DraftKings DFS Pick – Cedric Tillman

Rookie Tillman didn’t see a single target in his first three games in the league. But he has been targeted 25 times in his last 5 games. And he’s caught 14 of them. Tillman is yet to catch a touchdown, but he has been averaging 32.6 yards per game since the end of November.

This week he figures to be lined up opposite D.J Reed. Like all the Jets defensive backs Reed is having a good season. He’s only allowing 61.3% of passes thrown his way to be completed but he is 6 inches shorter than Tillman! When passes thrown Reed’s way have been completed, they are going for an average of 11.3 yards. Tillman is just $3,000 on this DraftKings DFS Captains Showdown slate too. After Amari Cooper’s monstrous 54.4-point game in Houston last week the rest of the Browns receivers are significantly cheaper. But three of them are injured!

The Slightly Expensive Bargain Pick – Tyler Conklin

With Jim Schwartz’s defense preparing to smother them, there’s not much to get excited about on the Jets side of this game. But Conklin is averaging 10.2 yards per touch. And he’s catching 68.4% of the passes he’s been thrown in 2023. And that’s pretty impressive considering 4 different QBs have started games for the Jets this season.

The Browns have allowed 6 touchdowns to tight ends in 2023 and are allowing 8.8 yards per reception to them. Conklin is $5,000 on this DraftKings DFS slate, making him $2,800 cheaper than David Njoku.

The Last Chance DraftKings DFS Pick – Randall Cobb

Cobb is averaging 8.8 yards per touch this season but was a healthy scratch last week. Presumably, that’s Robert Saleh’s attempt to motivate one of the Jets most dynamic receivers. Garrett Wilson was the only Jets receiver to gain more than 8 yards last week! Breece Hall had 96 yards and Conklin had 36.

Cobb is just $1,000 on the DraftKings DFS game this week and Trevor Siemian will be hoping he isn’t a healthy scratch this week.

The Most In-Form DraftKings DFS Pick – Jordan Akins

Akins is an absolute bargain on the DraftKings DFS slate this week. He costs just $800 and only 1 team has allowed more touchdowns to tight ends than the Jets. Tight ends are averaging 9.3 yards per catch against the Jets defense in 2023.

In his last 4 games, Akins has seen 5 targets and caught all of them. He’s averaging 7 yards per reception in those games. He’s yet to catch a touchdown this season but Akins could turn that around against this Jets defense.

The Completely Illogical DraftKings DFS Pick – Dalvin Cook

There’s only one reason to pick Cook on this DraftKings DFS slate and that’s because Israel Abanikanda is battling an injury. That’s not good at the best of times, but it’s even worse in a short week. For the first time in his 7-season career Cook hasn’t scored a touchdown. But the Jets are going to have to throw everything at this Browns defense if they want to get anything out of this game. Cook is a wily old veteran, and he could bring something different to help out Siemian.

Cook is only $2,000 on this DraftKings DFS slate making him the fifth most expensive running back in the game.
