Waiver Wire Week 13 – Keaton Mitchell Again, Curtis Samuel and More

The waiver wire Week 13 is one of the last chances to pick up free agents to make a playoff push. Rookies are making some noise.
Fantasy Football Tight Ends

If you’re still picking up waiver wire players, congratulations on making it this far into the season. The fantasy football season can be a long one, and grinding waivers gets repetitive. This week includes some options for a playoff push and some for rosters that need help this week.

Waiver Wire Week 13 – Keaton Mitchell Again, Curtis Samuel and More

Keaton Mitchell, Running Back Baltimore Ravens

While it didn’t result in a huge fantasy day, Mitchell’s snap count, touch count and general usage all increased. He won’t be useful for Week 13 since he’s on a bye, but to close out the season he’s a serviceable RB2 with serious upside. Keaton Mitchell is available in 66.4% of leagues on ESPN

Chuba Hubbard, Running Back Carolina Panthers

Why is Hubbard still available in over half of leagues? He definitely won’t be after this week, but with the Frank Reich firing there’s no telling what the offense will look like moving forward. Hubbard is either their second best or third best receiver, so even in a tough rushing matchup against Tampa Bay he’ll be more than fine. Hubbard is available in 51% of leagues on ESPN.

Curtis Samuel, Wide Receiver Washington Commanders

Samuel had 12 targets in Week 12 and plays the high-powered Miami Dolphins Week 13. If this offense even wants to try to keep up, they’re going to have to air it out and Samuel is more important to that offense than fans want to admit. Curtis Samuel is available in 65% of leagues on ESPN.

Josh Palmer, Wide Receiver Los Angeles Chargers

In most leagues without an IR spot, Palmer is floating around on waivers. The last few weeks without Palmer have been rough to watch for Chargers fans, like an episode of Chopped where they forget to grab an ingredient. Palmer is that ingredient that isn’t sexy on his own, but makes the offense at least bearable. Josh Palmer is available in 75% of leagues on ESPN.

Pat Freiermuth, Tight End Pittsburgh Steelers

The Muth is Luth folks. Matt Canada is gone, the Steelers put up their first 400-yard game since Jumanji 2 was in theaters, life is good. Freiermuth put up 21 PPR points without even scoring a touchdown, so scooping him off of waivers before your league mates (even just to play keep away) is highly recommended. Pat Freiermuth is available in 60% of leagues on ESPN.

Kenny Pickett, Quarterback Pittsburgh Steelers

Look, there’s not a lot of starting quarterbacks at less than 50% roster percentage these days. It’s not pretty, but the Cardinals lost their defensive captain Kyzir White and already weren’t the best unit to begin with. If absolutely desperate, slide Pickett into your streaming options and close your eyes. Kenny Pickett is available in every league without a Steelers fan.

Atlanta Falcons D/ST

The Falcons play Tim Boyle. Go ahead and throw on a Tim Boyle highlight tape while waiting for waiver wire claims to come in. The Falcons defense isn’t a juggernaut, but as far as streaming options go they’ve got a beautiful matchup Week 13. The Falcons D/ST is available in 85% of leagues on ESPN.
