Carolina Hurricanes Injury News Shared Late Friday Night
According to an announcement from the team, Jarvis’ surgery was for a torn labrum that he suffered in the 2023-24 season. General manager Eric Tulsky said that he hopes Jarvis will be back more towards the shorter end of the timeframe.
Jarvis and Robinson both played major hands in Carolina overcoming the Vegas Golden Knights in six games. Despite the injury, Jarvis still managed to lead the team in goals last season with 32. He also scored important goals for Team Canada.
Robinson totaled six goals for Carolina in the regular season. However, he did step up and chipped in with three goals during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

What It Means
Jarvis has been playing hurt for over two seasons but now gets to heal up. He’s been carrying a good chunk of the scoring load, and he’ll hopefully be ready to go before the end of the calendar year.
Robinson fills a role and does his job very well. He definitely earned his spot on the roster and is a valuable piece for the Canes.
Jarvis being out of the lineup could open up a spot for Bradly Nadeau, who was a standout in the AHL. He made the All-Rookie Team and scored three goals in 12 games with the big club.
