Edmonton Oilers vs Montreal Canadiens

Head-to-Head: Oilers 1-0 Canadiens

How to Watch:

US TV: NHL Network

Canada TV: Sportsnet West; TSN2; RDS

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Our final and featured game of NHL predictions has the Edmonton Oilers going for the season sweep of the Montreal Canadiens. Edmonton is coming off an impressive 6-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night in Tristan Jarry‘s debut with the team. Calvin Pickard will likely get the start for the Oilers, who are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. However, Edmonton has taken four of its last five games. Leon Draisaitl is just one point away from hitting the 1,000-point mark.

Jakub Dobes is the probable starter after Jacob Fowler played in the 5-4 overtime loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday night. The Canadiens are 6-4 in the last 10 games, but have dropped three of the last five before this game. Both teams have struggled to keep the puck out of the net in the first few months of the campaign. Cole Caufield is first in goals for Montreal with 17.

Both teams are coming off differing results on Saturday night. However, the Habs get the victory at home.

Prediction: Oilers win 5-4.

Prop Bets of the Night

We close out NHL predictions with our prop bets of the night. We’ll stay with our last game for our preferred props. The over/under for the Oilers versus the Canadiens is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.

As for individual props, we think Draisaitl eclipses the 1,000-point plateau for Edmonton. As for Montreal, take Nick Suzuki to get a power-play point.
