Vancouver Canucks vs New Jersey Devils

2024-25 Season Series: Canucks 1-1 Devils

How to Watch:

US TV: MSGSN; NHL Network

Canada TV: Sportsnet

Time: 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

We open up NHL predictions with the Vancouver Canucks visiting the New Jersey Devils in an afternoon matchup. Kevin Lankinen is the projected starter for the Canucks, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Vancouver is 2-7-1 in its previous 10 games, and it looks like they are retooling. Elias Pettersson (the forward) leads the club in assists (14) and points (22).

Jacob Markstrom is the expected starter for New Jersey, which is 4-6 in the last 10 games. However, the Devils did beat the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday afternoon. This game would have been the Hughes Family Reunion, but Vancouver dealt Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild. Jesper Bratt is first on the team in assists (22) and points (28).

The Devils might be coming off a Saturday afternoon game. However, the Canucks are really struggling.

Prediction: Devils win 5-2.
