Our second game of NHL predictions has the Columbus Blue Jackets battling the Winnipeg Jets. Elvis Merzlikins is the expected starter, with Jet Greaves playing the front-end of back-to-back games. Coming into Monday’s game, Columbus was 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. Kirill Marchenko is first on the team in goals (8), assists (12), and points (20).

Connor Hellebuyck is projected to get the call in the blue paint for the Jets, who are 5-5 in the previous 10 games. Winnipeg did win in its last time out, but it’s looking for more consistency. Mark Scheifele is first on the team in goals (11) and points (24), but Josh Morrissey is leading in assists with 16.

Columbus is coming off a tough overtime game against the Montreal Canadiens. Winnipeg should take advantage of this.

Prediction: Jets win 5-2.
