NHL Predictions;; NHL Rumours

With the large amount of games on tonight’s NHL schedule, it might be hard to know where to start. We at the Last Word on Hockey have helped narrow your focus to our best bets. This round of NHL Predictions will help condense the slate into three best bets and one prop bet of the night.

NHL Predictions

New Jersey Devils vs New York Islanders

Head-to-Head: Devils 2-0 Islanders

TV: MSG; MSGSN; ESPN+

Our opening game of NHL predictions has the New Jersey Devils visiting the New York Islanders. Kaapo Kahkonen is the projected starter for the Devils, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. New Jersey is six points off the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. Time is running out for the Devils to make a push. Jesper Bratt leads in goals (23) and assists (45) so far this season.

Ilya Sorokin is the confirmed starter for the Isles, who are three spots off the second wild card spot. New York is also six points off the third and final automatic playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division. The Isles have hit a rough patch at one of the worst times of the year. New York is 4-5-1 in the last 10 games. Brock Nelson leads the club in goals with 29.

Both teams need to get points quickly, but the Isles finally get on the board against their rivals.

Predictions: Islanders win 4-2.

Florida Panthers vs Philadelphia Flyers

Head-to-Head: Panthers 0-2 Flyers

TV: NBC Sports Philadelphia+; Bally Sports Florida; SN East, SN Pacific; ESPN+

Our featured game has the Florida Panthers continuing their road trip against the Philadelphia Flyers. Anthony Stolarz is the likely starter with the Panthers playing the day before. Florida is coming off a shootout loss to the New York Rangers the night before. Sam Reinhart is still on his quest to get 50 goals, as he’s got 48. Matthew Tkachuk leads in assists with 48. The Panthers have lost four straight games.

Philadelphia is expected to counter with Felix Sandstrom in between the pipes. The Flyers are coming off a huge 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Travis Konecny has 30 goals to lead the team in that category while Travis Sanheim has 31 assists. The Flyers are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games.

Philadelphia has played well, but Florida gets back on track with the win.

Prediction: Panthers win 5-2.

Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes

Head-to-Head: Stars 2-0 Coyotes

TV: Scripps; Bally Sports Southwest; ESPN+

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Arizona Coyotes hosting the Dallas Stars. Jake Oettinger is the expected starter for the Stars, who are 8-2 in the last 10 and have won three in a row. Dallas has allowed two goals or less during this three-game winning run. Roope Hintz is first on the team in goals with 26 while Jason Robertson is first in assists with 48.

Arizona is expected to go with Connor Ingram in goal for this game. The Coyotes are 5-5 in the last 10 and beat the Seattle Kraken last time out. Clayton Keller is one goal away from the 30-mark. Matias Maccelli tops the team in assists with 35 to go with his 11 goals on the campaign. Barrett Hayton has been out of the lineup since the early part of the month.

The Coyotes have been better in the month of March, but the Stars look to be in the fight for the Central Division crown.

Prediction: Stars win 5-2.

Prop Bet of the Night

Let’s stay with the last game of the night for our prop bet of the evening. We’ll go with a returning Tyler Seguin getting the over on +1.0 points against the Coyotes.
