NHL Predictions: March 5 Including Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche

NHL Predictions

Welcome back to another day of NHL Predictions. Each day, Last Word on Hockey takes a look at the games that are happening and gives our predictions for each one, breaking down head-to-head and other factors that may play in. We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today’s featured game is between the Seattle Kraken and the Colorado Avalanche. Be sure to check out our other NHL Predictions for the day.

NHL Predictions: Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche

New Jersey Devils vs Arizona Coyotes

Head to Head: Devils 1-0 Coyotes

Our first game on the NHL Predictions is interconference play. The New Jersey Devils wrap up their three-game road trip against the Arizona Coyotes. New Jersey has won their last two games, whereas the Coyotes are coming off a big loss to Carolina.

Big news for the Devils in this game. Prized acquisition Timo Meier could make his debut. Lindy Ruff has him on a line with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt. After Arizona traded its two best defencemen, it could be a long day playing again those three.

Prediction: Devils defeat Coyotes 4-1

Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche

Head to Head: Kraken 1-1 Avalanche

Our featured game is between two playoff calibre teams. The Colorado Avalanche return home to take on the Seattle Kraken. Colorado is coming off a massive loss to their division rival Dallas Stars. To make matters worse, Alexander Georgiev got yanked from the game. Seattle is on a three-game winning streak and doing it all on the road.

Colorado will want to tighten up defensively. It helps Cale Makar has made his return to the lineup. However, they’ve allowed seven goals two games in a row. They’ll be facing a dangerous Seattle offence that averages 3.50 goals per game.

Colorado is back to being banged up with multiple key members out of the lineup. They will be looking to get the sour-tasting loss out of their mouths, but it won’t come easy. Both teams are fighting for playoff positions.

Prediction: Avalanche defeat Kraken 4-3
