Vancouver Canucks Could Finally Part Ways With Forward

All eyes are set on the Vancouver Canucks. With the trade deadline drawing nearer and nearer they are poised to be big-time sellers.  Teams are already beginning to call on captain Bo Horvat, but that is not the only forward that could be on the trade block. Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser could also be on the move.

Vancouver Canucks Brock Boeser Could Also Be On The Move

Rumour: Brock Boeser is rumoured to be on the move, but it is tricky how it can happen

Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has yet again found himself on the trade block. This is not the first time either as he has been rumoured to be on the move for the last two off-seasons. But this time things can get tricky on how it can get done.

The Hurdle To Moving Brock Boeser

For a guy that could have been moved a while ago sounds like poor asset management. The fact the team would have to get creative and potentially retain money is significant. Vancouver has just signed Boeser to a three-year deal with a cap hit of $6.65 million per season. It will be interesting how they can move him and the creativity at hand.

Who Would Be Interested

Throughout his career, Boeser has scored 20+ goals in all but one season. He is not known for driving possession but can finish. However, Boeser is off to the worst season in his career, as he has only scored nine goals, 17 assists, and 26 points. His value isn’t nearly as high as it once was, but he could boost plenty of teams looking for scoring.

A team like the New York Islanders, who have been searching for a winger to play with Mat Barzal for ages, or the Minnesota Wild, who could use a boost in their top six. The good part is, Boeser has term, so this is not a rental situation and perfect for a team needing the boost.
