NHL Predictions

Philadelphia Flyers vs Anaheim Ducks

Head-to-Head: Flyers 0 – 0 Ducks

The Philadelphia Flyers visit the Anaheim Ducks as they aim to close out their California road trip with three straight wins. The Flyers topped the San Jose Sharks 4-3 in overtime and then picked up a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings. The Ducks are coming off a 6-1 thrashing from the Nashville Predators. Anaheim sits 31st in the standings as their eyes are set on the Connor Bedard sweepstakes.

The Flyers are tied with the Montreal Canadiens for last place in the Eastern Conference. Travis Konecny has three goals in the last two games, bringing his team-leading total to 18. Carter Hart will get the start for the Flyers. Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 31 points through 37 games. John Gibson will start for Anaheim. The Flyers finish their trip through California with the sweep as they will beat the Ducks tonight.

Flyers win 4-3

Vegas Golden Knights vs Colorado Avalanche

Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 0 – 0 Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche host the Vegas Golden Knights in the featured match of the night. Colorado has been bitten by the injury bug this season but recently got superstar Nathan MacKinnon back in the lineup. Despite the injuries, the Avalanche have remained competitive this season and currently sit fourth in the Central Division. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Colorado won the first game 3-2. Special teams played a significant role in the first contest, with three of the five goals scored coming on the powerplay.

The Golden Knights’ lead in the Western Conference standings has disappeared, and they are now tied with the Dallas Stars for first place. The Golden Knights are 5-4-1 over their last ten. Chandler Stephenson is having a breakout campaign and leads Vegas offensively with 39 points in 39 games. Vegas will start their rookie netminder, Logan Thompson.

Alexandar Georgiev will start as the Avalanche look to end their three-game losing streak. Mackinnon’s return to the lineup was spoiled as the Toronto Maple Leafs handed the Avalanche a 6-2 beating in their last game. However, Mackinnon will get his name back on the scoresheet tonight as he shakes off the rust from missing 11 games. The Avalanche end their losing streak with a statement win tonight.

Avalanche win 5-1
