MnM Hockey Podcast: Alex Ovechkin Goal Record, Anaheim Ducks, and More

Last Word on Hockey presents The MnM Hockey Podcast. The latest addition to the stable of LWOH Hockey Podcast Content. Every week, Alex Metzger and Chace McCallum will share their thoughts on the news of the week, have a variety of guests from the world of hockey as well as spending some time on original segments. Sit back, listen, and enjoy some NHL news, analysis, and discussion.

Alex Ovechkin Goal Record

The guys are back with another week of content. Today, they have plenty to discuss. Starting with the Washington Capitals and an Alex Ovechkin goal record. The guys discuss him hitting 800 goals on Tuesday night, as well as how he is about to become second all-time in goals scored. They then shift to how quickly can he catch Wayne Gretzky. Admiring that the conversation has switched from “can he at all?” to “when will it happen?”

After that, the guys switch their focus to the Anaheim Ducks. Alex digs into some stats that aren’t very encouraging as the guys examine how this season has gone so wrong. No one expected them to be great, but they are on pace to be one of the worst teams of the salary cap era. Alex is also concerned about the Calgary Flames recent play, although it is just a few games of sample. Still, they do not look like the Flames of last year, and that could be an issue.

Tune in for all of this and much more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!
