Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers Coaching

Alex and Chace return with a busy week of news to cover. First, they take a look at the news that Tuukka Rask is retiring and look back on his career. One of the most underrated goalies of his era, they also look at what it means for the Bruins and get into a playoff debate. After, they switch to the Montreal Canadiens firing their coach and hiring Martin St. Louis as their new head coach. Despite how unique it is, Alex thinks it is a good idea.

Switching to Edmonton Oilers coaching, Alex loses his mind over how bad the roster is and asks the ultimate question, what is a new coach really going to fix? The roster is flawed and what is the peak of the Oilers? The guys discuss that even further. Finally, they take a look at the Arizona Coyotes moving to a 5,o00 seat arena for the next few years and how embarrassing that is for the league as a whole.

Who are Alex and Chace? Alex and Chace are both from the Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. Both of them grew up playing hockey and shortly after fell in love with analyzing it. Chace is a noted Leafs and Penguins fan, while Alex is a die-hard Senators fan. You can find Alex’s work at LastWordOnHockey.com and milehighhockey.com.
