Puck Talk Live Podcast: Episode 63 – NHL Midseason Awards, Tim Peel Situation

The boys are back after taking a week off! Logan, Raffi, and Noah start off the show with a little banter about the struggling Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres. The guys transition into discussing the Tim Peel situation. All three agree that while make-up calls happen, getting caught saying it on national television is a bad look. Then they transition into their NHL midseason awards. The Rocket Richard trophy seems to be a two-horse race between two North Division superstars. All three agree on the Jack Adams trophy winner, but they think Jeremy Colliton is a close second. The Selke is also between two forwards who have proven time and time again their worth for this award.

To the goaltenders, Andrei Vasilevskiy is leading the race, but each host has another goaltender who could take home the hardware. The Norris Trophy is agreed upon, as well as the Calder. Both of these winners have been outstanding in their respective fields. Finally, the Hart trophy is discussed. Another two-player competition, between an elite goalscorer and an incredible playmaker. Listen to the episode to find out who they chose as the winners! And be sure to stay tuned – the next two weeks are the trade deadline previews!

Who are Logan, Raffi, and Noah? Put simply; they are three high school friends who bonded over their strong love for hockey and decided to share their thoughts with the world via podcast. All three are die-hard Blackhawks fans, but Logan also cheers for the Hurricanes and Raffi also roots for the Bruins. You can find Logan and Noah’s articles on from Getty Images
