Premier League Pair Would Be Costly

Neither Fofana nor Gordon would come cheap should Thomas Tuchel succeed in adding them to his squad.

The Blues have made multiple offers to Leicester for their young centre-back, but they have fallen short of the Foxes’ asking price. According to reports, Brendan Rodgers’ side are holding out for a fee of around £85 million, which would break the world record currently held by Harry Maguire for his £80 million switch from Leicester to Manchester United. Despite this, Chelsea are closing in on the deal, with the defender now having informed his side of his desire to move.

Meanwhile, although Everton maintain that Gordon is not for sale, it is believed that an offer in the region of £50 million would be enough to prize him away from his boyhood club, with the youngster keen to make the transfer. Chelsea’s opening bid was worth approximately £43 million – just £7 million short of what would be likely to be accepted, and with convincing the player to join not an obstacle, this deal could also be close.

Barcelona Duo and Casadei Could Close an Incredible Window for Chelsea

Barcelona duo De Jong and Aubameyang have both been offered to Chelsea, with the Spanish giants open to selling them. They value the former at £71 million and the latter at £21 million, and are keen to let both go in order to fund a move for Bernardo Silva of Manchester City.

While the West London side are waiting for positive signals from both players’ camps, there are certainly many positives for Chelsea fans.

De Jong would reportedly favour a move to Stamford Bridge over Manchester United, and while he currently wants to stay in Barcelona, there is still time for him to be convinced of a move away, having started the Catalan side’s La Liga opener on the bench. Tuchel’s team also have no problem with Barcelona’s asking price for the midfielder.

It is also known that Tuchel is extremely keen on Aubameyang having worked with him at Borussia Dortmund. Esteemed journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that he is not aware of any alternatives to the Gabon international for the Blues, demonstrating how strongly Tuchel believes that this is the answer to the club’s striker issues.
