FPL Tips: Three Forwards Who Could Bring in Some Big Points in Gameweek Five

FPL Tips: Three Forwards You Need to Transfer in for Gameweek 4

With Gameweek Five just under 48 hours away, here are three FPL forwards that should be looked at this weekend.

Top 3 Forwards to Take a Chance on in FPL Gameweek Five

Liam Delap – Ipswich (vs Southampton) – £5.5 Million

The first battle of the newly promoted teams comes this weekend as Ipswich take on Southampton, the latter are yet to get off the mark this season, joining Everton on zero points after four games.

That is why Liam Delap seems like the best cheap option to go with this weekend against a team who are struggling to prove that they’re strong enough to stay in the Premier League. The Saints’ match against Manchester United could have been so different had Cameron Archer converted his penalty at 0-0 last weekend, but the Red Devils overcame their nervous start to cruise to a 3-0 win.

Ipswich meanwhile, claimed a huge point against Brighton in their previous outing, so they will be confident that they can continue their two-game unbeaten run with a result over Russell Martin’s side who cannot seem to kickstart their campaign, as Delap will see this game as a great opportunity to add to his one goal so far this season.

A man in form, Jhon Duran was mightily unlucky not to get off the mark in the Champions League in midweek with a stunning daisy-cutter finish against Young Boys, only for his strike to be disallowed for a handball in the build-up to the goal. Just a few days earlier against Everton, he scored what will surely be the Premier League Goal of the Month – a 30-yard strike that dipped and swerved its way past a helpless Jordan Pickford, as fans have started to seriously take note of the talent the Colombian possesses.

While Ollie Watkins has the higher chance of starting against Wolves who are yet to win this season in the league, a contribution off the bench for Duran cannot be ruled out with the way he’s been playing recently. A goal this weekend would put him on four for the campaign, which could lead to a price rise, so get him before it’s too late.

Erling Haaland – Manchester City (vs Arsenal) – £15.2 Million

The most expensive player in FPL, Mr. Robot himself Erling Haaland is this weekend’s high-price option. Somehow, the number of Haaland owners isn’t 100%, so this is a call for the ones that don’t have him to get him now! Despite drawing a blank in midweek against a well-drilled Inter Milan side, he’s had no issues bagging in the league, scoring nine in his first four games, securing two hattricks already as he narrowly missed out on breaking the record for three consecutive league hattricks, managing just the two goals against Brentford last weekend in a 2-1 comeback win for his side.
