Harvey Elliott fractured his foot whilst training with England’s U21s, and will be out for at least a month. Meanwhile, Curtis Jones returned to the squad in the last match after being out for the previous two.

Federico Chiesa has not yet featured in a matchday squad due to a lack of match fitness; Juventus did not play him at all in pre-season as they wanted to push him towards a transfer. Slot has revealed that he could play against Milan.
