Spurs Tie Down ‘Starlet’ to Fresh Deal
Jack Pitt-Brooke of the Athletic broke the news of Moore’s contract earlier this afternoon (August 6), with the 16-year-old agreeing a three-year deal (the maximum contract length allowed by FIFA for players under 18 years of age) to stay in North London. The agreement will be officially finalised on Sunday when he turns 17.

Pitt-Brooke also revealed that Spurs have handed Moore the highest salary that they have ever offered a player of his age; this isn’t a surprise considering the youngster’s record in the club’s youth ranks last year.
Moore’s Achievements So Far
Moore scored 16 goals in 16 appearances last season for his club’s U18 side. The strikes included two hattricks in the U18 Premier League as Spurs finished 4th behind Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea.
His efforts saw him rewarded with two substitute appearances for the senior team in the final couple of games of last season against Manchester City and Sheffield United, as manager Ange Postecoglou included him in his squad’s pre-season tour this summer. The “starlet” has scored against Hearts, Vissel Kobe and a Japanese international youth team.
After the match against Vissel Kobe where Moore’s 88th-minute strike handed Spurs a 3-2 win, Postecoglou was full of praise for the young man (quotes via The Athletic).
“Mikey has been fantastic since we brought him in. He’s earned his spot on the roster at the moment, he did at the end of last year. He got a run with the first team because we could see in training that he was handling himself really well and that’s followed through into pre-season.“
“All we can do is keep allowing him to develop, but he’s super exciting.”
