West Ham have concrete interest in Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United. The Dutch winger has also been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea this window, after a great season in the Championship.
West Ham Interested in Crysencio Summerville, Championship Player of the Season
Initial Proposal Submitted
Fabrizio Romano reports that West Ham have “submitted initial proposal” to Leeds United for the player. He continues to reveal that talks also took place with the player.

However, The Hammers consider his price “very expensive”, which is unsurprising after he won the Championship Player of the Season. Leeds rejected a £20 million bid from Burnley last summer, and their price tag will have likely increased after he scored 19 and assisted nine in the league.
Chelsea and Liverpool Interested?
Chelsea and Liverpool were both reported to be “keeping a close eye” on the player, on June 1. The two Premier League heavyweights, alongside Brighton, began talks but nothing amounted.

It seems that West Ham have an opportunity to steal the player from under their noses.
How Will Crysencio Summerville Fit in Under Julen Lopetegui?
West Ham have been linked with many wingers since Julen Lopetegui’s appointment: they have already signed Luis Guilherme and have had interest in Matias Soule and Reiss Nelson.
However, the aforementioned trio are all relatively young and inexperienced, whilst Summerville has already played a full Premier League season. The 22-year-old prefers to play on the left-wing which works well: Jarrod Bowen has the right-wing locked down and Lucas Paqueta, who had played on the left, looks to face suspension.

Alternatively, with Michail Antonio potentially leaving, Bowen could play as a striker with Mohammed Kudus on the right and Summerville on the left.
It comes as no surprise that Lopetegui’s side have been linked with so many pacey wingers as he worked so effectively with players like Cristian Tello and Jesus Corona in the past. Summerville would thrive under the Spanish manager.
