Fabrizio Romano has opened up on Klopp’s future after he leaves Anfield and noted on his CaughtOffside blog: “Klopp has decided to leave and he hasn’t got an agreement with any other club, he’s free and he wants to take some time before deciding his next step.” Romano clarifies that nothing is happening right now regarding the possibility of the German coach going to the Catalan giants.

He adds that the La Liga heavyweights are taking their time to decide on Xavi’s successor. Romano adds that this would have to progress “step by step” and that it would be complicated for Barcelona to convince Klopp to join them after leaving Liverpool, especially since he hinted at wanting some rest after this campaign is over.
