Manchester United have had a really topsy-turvy season that resulted in more frustration in their recent 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. However, it appears that the Red Devils are planning major signings for the summer window, including a striker akin to Harry Kane.

United Want To Sign Harry Kane Level Forward
The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella claims that the club have identified their transfer priorities for the summer window after Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his company Ineos took over sporting control of the club. It is added that they want to sign a new top-quality forward who is akin to Bayern Munich’s current marksman.

Kinsella adds that Ratcliffe is moving forward with his plans to revitalize the club as 25% acquisition of the club’s stakes should be official next month. It stated that the signing of a new number nine to bolster their goal-scoring power has been “identified as priority” and that United also want to sign a new midfielder, a centre-back and a right-back in the summer window.
However, the journalist adds that any new forward will be expected to play alongside Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund in the frontline as it is further clarified that the young striker retains the support of senior officials at Old Trafford despite a difficult start to his career with them.
United Made To Rue Missing Out On Kane
Before Tottenham Hotspur sold him to Bayern Munich in the summer, the Red Devils were reported to have in signing him instead. However, they backed out of the race to ultimately sign Hojlund instead and are being made to pay, with the Englishman firing on all cylinders in Germany.
Kane, who has been hailed as a “phenomenon”, has scored 26 goals across all competitions for the Bavarians and elevated the quality of their frontline too. Erik ten Hag’s side, on the other hand, have scored the fewest goals for any side in the Premier League top-10 this season and their young Danish forward has only scored two goals in the league, which is why the higher-ups have discovered a need to sign a new clinical forward.
