He adds that “several other” clubs are trying their best to understand the conditions of a possible deal to sign the 22-year-old midfielder and how much Fluminense might want to sell him in 2024.
Romano claims that “in the next two or three weeks” there should be more clarity over his situation and the possibility of him being sold in January. The journalist reaffirms that Liverpool are interested in signing him, but that it’s still unclear if they want to invest big money in a new player in the winter transfer window.
How Much Could Andre’s Signing Cost?
Romano also adds that Andre dropped a hint about his future after winning the Copa Libertadores title and that he remains appreciated by the Reds. The journalist states that he expects the Brazilian side to demand a fee of around £34.7 million to sell their prized midfielder in the near future if a team wants to make a move for him.

At this moment, it’s still not guaranteed that the Reds will want to make a move for the player after signing multiple midfielders in the summer transfer window. Indeed, the Reds signed the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister to bolster their midfielder and have Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch as other options too. Andre, who has made 161 appearances for Fluminense and excels in the defensive midfield role, could be a solution to their no.6 role woes and also allow Mac Allister to play a more free no.8 role going forward.
