The journalist hints that they might be looking to start discussions over a new striker or start eyeing options around the March, April or May period in 2024. There is no rush within the club to sign a new centre-forward and Romano claims that “for the moment” discussions around bolstering that area of the pitch are completely quiet.
He also notes that Ange Postecoglou’s side are very happy with the signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest to bolster their attack towards the end of the summer transfer window. The Lilywhites believe that they have signed an “important player” for the present and future in the Welsh international.

The Australian manager has ensured that his side doesn’t break down without the English striker, who has scored nine goals in just eight games for the Bavarians already this season. As a result, they will not rush their decision on a possible replacement for Kane and are unlikely to sign one in January.
