Lazio Already Contacted Greenwood
Italy has emerged as a potential destination for Greenwood. According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Romano, Lazio have started acting on their interest to bring the 21-year-old to Serie A. The Rome-based side already contacted the player in an attempt to sign him before the transfer window shuts. According to reports, the deal can potentially be wrapped up if the club’s manager, Maurizio Sarri, gives his approval to the transfer.
United announced earlier in August through a statement on their official website that Greenwood will no longer play for them. This decision came after extensive internal investigation and discussions regarding the off-the-pitch issues and criminal charges against the player.
