George Sessions has reported that Tottenham Hotspur keeper and former captain, Hugo Lloris, “Will Leave” the club before the transfer deadline at 11pm on September 1.

11-Year Stay Coming to an End
In his pre-match press conference ahead of Spurs’ trip to face Burnley in the Premier League on September 2, Sessions, writing for the Independent, reports that Ange Postecoglou paid tribute to the French World Cup winner ahead of his expected exit from the club on deadline day.

The Lilywhites signed Guglielmo Vicario this summer from Italian side Empoli, with Fraser Forster selected as the back up keeper.

Lloris only has one year left on his contract and if no club can be found before the window slams shut at 11pm BST, it is expected that his contract will end by mutual consent which would be a sad way for things to end for such a loyal servant of the North London club.
Postecoglou Praise for Lloris
In his press conference, the Australian boss told the media that;
“Hugo has been excellent throughout the whole process.”
He went on to further express his thoughts on Lloris’ contribution at Tottenham Hotspur;
“There is no doubt that he has had an outstanding career and contribution to this football club. He has been the captain for quite a long time and been very professional.”

Lloris looks to be one of several players leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Sergio Reguilon joining Manchester United on loan, although there is a break clause in that deal in January should he need to be recalled.
