Harry Maguire Could Stay at Old Trafford Due to This Situation
The Red Devils’ star centre-back, Varane picked up an injury in the match against Nottingham Forest and is set to miss up to six weeks of football because of it. Erik ten Hag’s team has conceded six goals in the opening three games and their defensive issues could potentially get worse following the injury to their senior defender.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has reported that this could potentially lead to repercussions on the Maguire transfer saga. The England international could possibly stay at the club beyond the transfer deadline day despite strong rumours of him heading for the exit door.
Red Devils Making Embarrassing Panic Transfer Decisions
The three-time Champions League winners have been plagued with injuries at the beginning of the season. The left-back position is the most heavily affected area as both senior left full-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are set to be out of action for the foreseeable future. Perhaps in a fit of panic, the Manchester club are targeting players who are not essentially at the top of their game and have failed to make their mark for their respective teams.

Marc Cucurella, Sergio Reguilon and Rico Henry are three prime targets for the side according to the Daily Mail. The trio are currently struggling in their teams and have not shown any indication that they could potentially succeed at Old Trafford. Cucurella was signed by Chelsea from Brighton last summer and has failed to stamp down a place for himself in the starting lineup.
Despite getting enough playing time last season, a series of unimpressive performances meant he fell out of favour and has been replaced by Ben Chilwell as the Blues’ first-choice left-back.

Tottenham Hotspur’s outcast, Reguillon, is another target who has failed to have an impact in his time in the Premier League. A sub-par 2021/22 season saw him loaned out to Atletico Madrid for the following campaign where he only managed to make twelve appearances in all competitions over the course of the term.
