It’s stated that the Ghana international stood out in the matches that the Irons’ scouts were watching when they were scouting Alvarez, and that the scouts recommended him to the club’s management. West Ham are considering a possible move for him, but David Moyes is at present unsure of whether he wants a new forward with the likes of Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Maxwel Cornet all options.
Kudus, interestingly, has been linked with a number of Premier League sides this summer. He is reported to be a target for Arsenal, while Brighton are said to have struck an agreement with Ajax to sign the Ghanaian. However, they have not been able to get that deal over the line yet, meaning that West Ham can swoop in for a possible hijack if they want and if able to convince the 23-year-old to join them.
Who Is Mohammed Kudus and What Can He Bring to West Ham?
The Ajax star is a highly versatile player, who can play anywhere in midfield as well as lining up as a right-winger and a centre-forward if required. Kudus is coming off an impressive 2022/23 season for his side, in which he scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions.
That included goals against Liverpool and Napoli in the UEFA Champions League group stages as well. The 23-year-old is known for being blessed with a lot of pace and an eye for goal in the final third. He’s impressive with his link-up play and has that creative spark that allows him to create chances often.
