Liverpool are set to find a replacement after the departures of midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. According to a report by journalist Pedro Ivo Almeida on ESPN Brazil, that target is the Fluminense midfielder Andre and are set to make an offer of 21 million pounds.
Liverpool set to offer for Brazilian midfielder Andre
Flu playing hard
According to the report made by Almeida, it has been stated that Liverpool want to make an initial proposal of 21 million pounds for the talented midfielder. However, Fluminense are playing hard in the negotiations and would want an initial offer of 28 million pounds to even consider letting go of one of manager Fernando Diniz’s star performers.
Naturally, this situation comes from a place of need for Liverpool. Manager Jurgen Klopp has lost two players that were pivotal for the club’s success in Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, which is why Andre could potentially be a sound replacement for these footballers. However, Fluminense are also considering their performance in the Copa Libertadores: if they go through in the competition, Andre is likely to stay. Although, if they are eliminated, they are far more likely to listen to offers.

What can Andre bring to Liverpool
One of the key attributes that Andre is high-quality passing. He is one of the most technical players when it comes to passing in the Brazilian league and his spacial awareness makes him a very interesting partner for Liverpool’s new midfielder, the Argentinian Alex Mac Allister. And at just 22 years old, he has a lot more room to grow and develop into a key player for the Reds.
If there is one thing that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side was lacking, it was passing range. While originally Thiago Alcantara was meant to add to the team, his adaptation to English football hasn’t been the greatest. Therefore, Andre could provide much-needed diversity to the midfield profiles at the German coach’s disposal.
