Italian transfer announcer Fabrizio Romano tweeted a shocking update on a member of the French national team. Ousmane Dembele, the man who left Borussia Dortmund for Barcelona in 2017 for an extraordinary nine-figure fee, appears to be taking big steps to leave the club.
In the tweet, Romano confirms that PSG have agreed to a five-year deal with the player’s agent. The French club also sent a formal letter to Barcelona in order to attempt a swift closure of the deal. Timing is everything in this deal, and all parties involved will try to make the most out of any deal when and if it is eventually finalised.

Ousmane Dembele Heading Towards Ligue 1
Rumours Swirl Around How the Frenchman Could Return to France
BREAKING: Ousmane Dembélé says yes to Paris Saint-Germain! Initial green light to the proposal has arrived 🚨🔴🔵

Before he played for Dortmund, Ousmane Dembele played for Rennes in Ligue 1. He was part of the French team that won the 2018 World Cup against Croatia, and the team that lost last year’s final to Argentina. At 26 years old, and already the champion of many different competitions, Dembele is looking to be reborn.
Getting back to Ligue 1 is going to be no small feat. Barcelona, while far from impressed with how the winger has performed for the club, are not going to just let their man walk away for free. 24 goals in 127 games is not a disaster, but the Catalan club do not believe it is what they paid for.

A rumoured deal between the two clubs could solve multiple transfer sagas in one swift deal. It is no secret that PSG striker and World Cup hero Kylian Mbappe has had a fallout with the club that could see him depart this summer. The deal, which is in fact more of a player trade, but is currently just another rumour swirling around the web, is that Barcelona will offer Dembele and star youngster Gavi to PSG for Mbappe.
Release Clause Expiration Ends August 1st
Luis Enrique, the current coach of PSG, was the coach of Barcelona right before Dembele was signed. He might not have ever coached the promising French winger, but he was aware of and supported the pursuit of the player. The Spanish coach now has the chance to help PSG get a quality player by triggering his £43 million release clause. The big announcement, with luck for all parties, could be coming soon.
