Man United Target Says ‘Yes to Proposal’

PSG Interest in Hojlund

Hojlund has been attracting attention from United and French champions PSG. The 20-year-old was in fine form for club and country last season, scoring ten goals in 34 appearances for Atalanta – and six in his last four international games.

PSG’s hunt for a new striker is no secret. There have been reports that England captain Harry Kane and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic could end up playing at the Parc des Princes. However, it is the striker plying his trade in Bergamo, Italy, who could find his way to the French capital – should United not act swiftly.

Despite the interest from PSG, United remain at the front of the queue for Hojlund, according to Romano.

He said: “First of all, Man United are ahead in the race. They have an agreement with Rasmus Hojlund and his agents on the contract – personal terms are agreed.

“Hojlund said yes to the proposal, and Man United have the contract ready for Hojlund, and this is an important step, and this is why Man United are ahead in the race.”

United to Act Fast

Whilst the interest from PSG is nothing new, it appears to have forced United’s hand into speeding up the process. Erik ten Hag’s side may be in prime position at the moment, but they know “they have to be fast if they want to close this deal”, Romano revealed.

The urgency in completing a deal for Hojlund now appears to be top of United’s priorities after concluding a deal for Andre Onana, and Romano understands that “they will be fast” in securing a deal with Atalanta.

The Italian journalist goes on to say that the next step is for the Old Trafford club to “send an official bid” and that they consider next week as “really important” in advancing the deal.

Romano does stop short of predicting the transfer will be completed that soon. He does reveal that sources close to the negotiations are confident the two clubs can reach an agreement for the Dane.
